Wally Hase & Thomas Müller-Pering
FLUTE & GUITAR

have been performing together since 1999, both are professors at the Franz Liszt University of Music in Weimar.
The start and trigger for the artistic collaboration was an ensemble production with the American composer George Crumb and the Klangwerkstatt Weimar, which was followed by a portrait concert by the Japanese composer Toru Takemitsu.
Since then, Wally Hase & Thomas Müller-Pering have expanded the already extensive repertoire of the flute & guitar line-up with their own transcriptions and new composition commissions.
In 2002 the first joint duo CD, Lyric Pieces, was released with works by
Franz Schubert and Edvard Grieg.

In November 2006 they were awarded the “German Record Critics’ Prize” for their CD “Jorinde & Joringel”, Edition seeigel, and the “Leopold” in autumn 2007. The CD “Circulo Mágico” was released in 2007 on the animato label.

Since 2005, she has been involved in artistic collaboration in the form of extraordinary projects in the field of ‘Music & Literature’ with Prof. Dr. Jan Phillip Reemtsma, Hamburg. In February 2008 their joint CD “Du, ich – und sometimes Lieben” was released on the Hoffmann & Campe label.
