Laura & Samuel Klemke

Samuel T. Klemke was born in 1978 and his sister Laura U. Klemke in 1981. Since they were four years old, they received systematic guitar lessons from their father. The Guitar Duo Klemke was already formed in their youngest years.
After four years of studying with Prof. Monika Rost at the “Franz Liszt University of Music Weimar”, Samuel completed his artistic diploma in 2003 and Laura in 2004. Both completed their subsequent postgraduate studies with Prof. Thomas Müller-Pering with the concert exam in 2007 and 2008. They unanimously passed an additional joint postgraduate course in chamber music in 2009. Master classes with recognized artists such as Pepe Romero, David Russell and Manuel Barrueco helped shape her musical personality.
Laura and Samuel both took part very successfully in international competitions. Samuel won e.g. B. first prizes in Stafford – Great Britain and in Savona – Italy. Laura got, among other things: the 1st prize in Rome and the 2nd prize in Tokyo. As a duo they were the best players at one of the most important guitar duo competitions in Europe, in Bubenreuth.
They were able to demonstrate their talent in over 1000 performances, radio and television broadcasts around the world and on several CDs.
