The 11th Anna Amalia Competition for young guitarists will take place from April 2nd to 7th, 2013 in Weimar.
Age groups
I: up to 13 years
II: 14 – 16 years
III: 17 – 20 years

Prices
A 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize is offered in each age group.
In addition, a special prize can be awarded for the best interpretation of a classical work as well as the contemporary compulsory pieces and other special prizes.
The total amount of prizes is approximately €10,000.
The jury reserves the right to award the prizes.

Conditions of competition
– The judging auditions are public.
– The order in which the participants appear will be drawn.
– The program submitted with registration is binding.
Changes are possible until March 1, 2013.
– The order of the works can be determined by yourself.
– The program must be recited from memory.
– The grades must be kept available for inspection by the jury.
– The artistic and musical design, stylistics, text fidelity and safety are assessed.
The focus is on interpretation. Scores will not be announced.
– The jury’s decisions are final and legal recourse is excluded.
– The winners are obliged to be present at the award ceremony in person
and to perform at the award winners’ concert.
The program is determined by the jury.
– The organizer reserves the right to cancel the auditions and the prizewinners’ concert
to record and publish. The participant cannot assert any claims from this.
– A valid identity document must be presented upon arrival.
– The costs incurred for participation in the competition must be borne by the participant themselves.
– The organizer is not liable for any personal injury or property damage that may occur in connection with this

– In the event of any discrepancies, only the German version of this advertisement is binding.

Registration for the 11th Anna Amalia Guitar Competition for Children and Young People takes place online
(from January 2013) at www.gitarreverein-weimar.de
with simultaneous transfer of a registration fee of €40 by February 16, 2013.
The number of participants is limited. Admission takes place in the order in which registrations are received.
Incomplete or late registrations cannot be considered.
In justified exceptional cases, the registration fee can be paid upon arrival.
The registration fee will not be refunded in the event of cancellation by the participant.
